Spicy Pineapple rings

It was a gloomy day right from the moment I woke up. The deceptive weather tricked me to be in bed much later than I would normally do, even though the alarm repeatedly tried to get me out of there.
The dark clouds wouldn’t budge, instead, I dragged myself through the day’s chores.
I needed something to lift my spirits and cheer my sullen mood. Something fiery hot would do I thought, if not for the sun.
A Pineapple lay on my kitchen counter, silent, it’s faint sweet aroma signalling aloud of ripeness. One look at it and I had found my pick-me-up.
Spicy Pineapple Rings is what I like to call a wonderful marriage of fruity sweet and red chilli hot. This one is a no-brainer ‘cos there’s nothing to go wrong. Just Cut, Sprinkle, Bite!

Things you’ll need:
  • Ripe Pineapple
  • Red Chilli Powder
  • Ground black pepper
  • Sea Salt
  • Cane sugar
How it’s done:
  • Skin a ripe Pineapple, core it with a pineapple corer and chop into equi-sized rings. I have used a plain old knife to get this done.
  • Sprinkle some red chilli powder, ground black pepper, salt and a tad bit of cane sugar as per your taste.
  • Toss the rings to evenly coat the spices. Enjoy the juicy bite!
